Coloring Gray Hair

Hair Dyes - Rinses - Cover Grey, Lighten Streaks Add Highlights


  • Easy Hair Rinse 1 ounce of apple cider vinegar and one quart of distilled water. Combine the apple cider and water, mix well. Pour the rinse through your hair to help to soften your hair and get rid of shampoo buildup. Rinse with clear luke warm water.

  • Sage Rinse - Darken Gray Hair 3 tablespoons of black tea, 3 tablespoons of sage. Put the tea and sage in 2 cups of boiling water and let it sit for 1 hour. Then pour it very slowly over your hair.

  • Forever Blonde Rinse your hair after each shampoo with a mixture of 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 quart of water. Let it drip and catch the lemon water, pour the lemon water over your hair again. Gently squeeze the water from your hair and wait 10 minutes - sit with your hair in the sun if you can - then rinse very well with warm water. Condition as usual.

  • Blond Highlights 1 tablespoons of lemon juice and 3 tablespoons of chamomile tea brewed in 2 cups of water. Let the tea sit for one hour. If you use loose tea, strain twice. Add the lemon juice and mix. Pour the mixture over your just washed hair and sit with your hair in the sun for 30 minutes. Rinse your hair very well with warm water. Condition as usual. After a few weeks you will notice your 'natural' blonde highlights.

  • Champagne Rinse Combine 1/2 cup each of old champagne and hot water. Rinse your just washed and conditioned hair with the champagne mix. Style as usual.

  • Cherry Bark Tea - For Dark Hair Or to cover gray. Prepare a very strong tea using equal parts black tea and cherry bark. After you have shampooed your hair, rinse with the strong tea twice. Let it sit for two minutes then rinse thoroughly with luke warm water.

  • Cinnamon Hair Lightener Mix equal parts cinnamon and your favorite conditioner. Apply the mixture all over your hair and leave it on for a few hours. You can even leave it on over night. Wash and condition your hair as usual. This will gradually lighten your hair.
