Honey Strawberry Lip Balm

Honey Strawberry Lip Balm

4 tablespoons of virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon of honey
1 tablespoon of grated beeswax
1 table spoon of cocoa butter
1 teaspoon of vitamin E oil
4 drops of strawberry flavored oil

In a small saucepan, melt the olive oil, beeswax and cocoa butter over low heat. When it is melted, remove from the heat and allow it to cool for -+3 minutes.

Stir in the Vitamin E oil and the strawberry flavor. Pour the lipgloss in containers.

Fresh Cranberry Lip Gloss

20 fresh cranberries
2 tablespoons of sweet almond oil
2 teaspoons of honey
2 drops of vitamin E oil.

Mix the ingredients in a double heat-proof or microwave safe bowl and heat it in a double boiler. Stir well and crush the cranberries. Let the mixture sit and cool for five minutes then strain to remove all of the pieces. Strain twice more, then set aside to cool completely then separate and put the lip gloss in containers.

Mix 1/2 cup each of coconut oil and shea butter, petroleum jelly, or cocoa butter in a heat-proof container.

Melt it in a double boiler. Mix well, then stir in 5 drops of orange essential oil. Store in separate containers and allow it to cool completely before you use it.

For each lip gloss recipe; Always melt all of the carrier oils, beewax, honey and butters over low heat. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then add the flavored oils, vitamin E ... over low heat.

Add the essential oils last. Stir until all ingredients are well blended and pour into separate containers. Add lids after your recipes are completely cooled. You can always experiment with the amount of beeswax until you get the consistency that you desire.

For all of the recipes that include honey, you should continue to stir for as long as you can. This will allow the honey to disperse throughout the lip gloss. If any recipe come out too soft, add more beeswax; if it come out too hard, add more oil(s).


Apricot Lemon Lip Balm

Melt 1/4 cup of beeswax in a double boiler.

While constantly stirring, add 1/4 cup each of calendula and apricot kernel essential oils. Still stirring, remove from the heat. After the mix is partly cooled, add the essential oils and stir.

Store the finished lip balm in a glass container.
